Job Opening Title: Senior IT Auditor

Reports to: IT Audit Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

Participate in the planning, organizing, and execution of Information Technology (IT) audits.  Assist in assessing the Company's Information Technology compliance to internal standards and those defined by the Sarbanes - Oxley Act of 2002.  Assist in the planning and execution of IT Audits to evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of internal controls, business processes, procedures and operations.

Our client is a publicly traded real estate company engaged in the ownership, development, management and acquisition of commercial and residential real estate and land across the United States.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct SOX 404 compliance audits.  Perform detailed audits of information technology infrastructure, applications and processes to determine adequacy of control design and evaluate control operating effectiveness in accordance with SOX 404.
• Identify and conduct operation and regulatory compliance audits.  Utilize CAAT's and audit tools to assist in data mining and the analysis/ evaluation of business intelligence data integrity.
• Audit IT Governance- audit the implementation and execution of Governance policies and processes, and creation of maintenance of service level agreements.
• Develop and perform technological position audits.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in MIS or Accounting or a related area.
• Certification desirable (CISA, CIA, ,CISM, CISSP, CPA).
• Minimum of three to five years direct auditing experience in public accounting or in a corporate environment.
• Prior knowledge of an experience with SOX.
• Sensitive to confidential information and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Knowledge or understanding of COBIT.
• Previous experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Data mining experience and analysis experience.
• Experience developing and executing custom Computerized Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAAT's) and utilizing tools such as ACL.
